Frequently Asked Questions

Not necessarily. While many events require healthcare expertise, leadership and teamwork events welcome educators and community leaders.

Is there compensation?

Judging is a volunteer activity. Judges receive complimentary meals during the conference and a certificate of appreciation.

Can I judge if I have a student competing?

Judges are assigned to events where they do not have a conflict of interest. You will not judge events in which your students are competing.

How do I prepare?

You'll receive rubrics and event guidelines in advance. A brief orientation session is held before each event round.
